The Network

What is The Maine Food Strategy Network?  Isn’t there already a network?  Several networks?

A network is a collection of connected people, businesses, places, organizations, agencies and other groups.  When all of those elements have some connection to food then you have a food network.

Maine already has several types of farming, fishing and food-related networks.  The Maine Food Strategy seeks to identify and help strengthen the existing sets of networks, connect them to one another to get positive results for all and, ultimately, illustrate that a broader and stronger network of engaged food system participants is the best way forward for Maine’s food economy.
