We are pleased to share results of The Maine Food Strategy 2014 Consumer Survey Report. Last fall, almost 600 Maine households were asked about their attitudes and buying preferences around locally grown, raised and harvested food. Some findings confirmed assumptions like where Mainers shop, and others uncovered opportunities for education and outreach within the network of organizations working on food-related issues in Maine.

Consumer Survey Briefings
To connect at the local level, Maine Food Strategy members will meet with industry and community leaders to review survey findings, identify common resources and seek ways to strengthen relationships. These briefings will be held in Caribou, sponsored by Aroostook Partnership for Progress; Lewiston, co-sponsored by St. Mary’s Nutrition Center and the Good Food Council of Lewiston-Auburn; and Portland, hosted by Coastal Enterprises Inc.
